First: HAPPY WEDDING! Thank you both for inviting me to share in your moment. You both mean a great deal to me, and I hope tonight is filled with merriment and an outpouring of friendship, love and laughter.

Second: I wish you both a very happy and content marriage. And, I whisper unto the fates/gods/universe/whatever to mark this union as blessed and auspicious.

Lastly, but not leastly: As one that has watched many a friend and family go in and out of the above said contract, make your own path. No one knows, but the both of you, which road to take...just as long as you take it together.

My friends, I <3 you mucho!

Phrase & Website of the Day

Phrase:

"Butt-Crack Bobs" - made in reference to my company's customers by one of my co-workers. hee

Website:

http://www.propertyroom.com/

Police Auction house of all the stuff they seize from crimes (other than murders - they have to keep that kind of stuff forever). Good stuff at cheap auction pricing. (Jewlery to cars and all kinds of stuff) One of my vendors just picked up a pair of nice amethyst earrings for $4. It's like eBay, but the proceeds go back to the police departments. I think it's kinda cool!!

*Insert Puce's anti-establishment remark here* blah blah blah

*grin*

Random Rejection

So...today's been a pretty good day. Went to Target to check said fab Halloween stuff and stocked up some lovely soda and candy corn treats. Yummy! Also, went to Uwajimaya for some random lunch/dinner bits.

Then I came home and watched movies on Netflix...can I tell you how much I <3 them...anyhoo, in the middle of watching one I get this random IM from someone I don't know. I apparently was in a risky mood and started to quiz the person on how they got my handle, etc. Come to find out that some chica on the Cupid dating site has the same handle as I do for my yahoo and this person took a chance.

Well we thought this was a quirky "Meet Cute" so we continued chatting. But, as usual, as soon as he saw my pic (which is a cute one of me) he was upfront and told me he wasn't physically attracted to me. This taking place all within the span of about 10 mins...read mild high to relative low.

Now I know what all of you not involved people are saying and you're right...

But, this is me we're talking about, and I'm sitting here trying not curse at the universe for its oh so random karmic put downs...and also trying not giving this random guy too much clout. It's touch and go...my ego is bewildered and a little bruised.

I really should know better and just stay in my bubble.

BTW, the chick he thought I was...was a church going wheel of fortune fan. *chuckle* Sooo not me...hehee

*Feeling better now*

Thanks for reading...continue on...

Interesting knowledge - I've already spoken to some of you about this, I missed the date, which makes it even more fascinating: (short clip)

The community called 'mourning souls'...it's a collection of very cool cemetary pics. I.e. headstones, monuments, etc. Some with stories about who you're viewing and such. (It was just listed as a featured site.) If you're into that sort of thing...which I am and may post some of my pics from Scotland. It's good times! If I could figure out how to link to it I would for ease, but I'm clueless at this point (help me somebody). ;]

In My Ear!

As I laid down to sleep last night, I had this funny little tickle in my ear...as I had my headphones on, I took them out to inspect and found nothing..."Huh?", I thought...and placed them back in. A few seconds later, the same little tickle..."What the...?"...but still nothing after a further examination...I laid down once more satisfied it must have been a hair, but alas a few more seconds go by and this time in my grumpy tired state, I give my ear the best finger swab of its life...wherein by I come out with a crushed ant... *stunned* followed by a stream of cussing and uckiness feeling that still resonates to this very moment. *heebie jeebies* JC, you're on my call list today!! Be prepared....*shiver*

Weekend Productivity

I was so productive and active this weekend that I feel asleep Sunday evening at 6:30pm...crashed would be a better term.

There was the Farmer's Market, an oil change, a car wash, hauling of dirt, trips to get pepper plants, digging up of a planting bed that may for the rest of time produce Irises...there was father's day, steaks and the movie "Kung Fu Panda" (see below), and much much more...I was a total zombie at work today...Sorry about them. ;]

(Panda: It was surprisingly good! From the animation to the voices to an actual plot... Now for those of you who think too much about movies, and you know who you are - I am known to be one of them on occasion - it's not Oscar worthy. But! I laughed my hinney off several times and it made my step-dad happy, so it was worth it. You must check out the opening sequence's animation, very cool stuff. Oh and stay thru the credits...)

Special shout out to my awesome friend V (whom I love and adore): she made most of my weekend possible and can dig a ditch like nobody's biz-ness...she made me swoon a little bit.

Also a shout out to my friend JC, lots of love and affection no matter what. <3

So...today has been fun.

Take...

1 part: I had my yearly check-up (poked, prodded, weighed and exposed)

+

2 part: Immediately after returning to work, I met with my boss to discuss our "issues"...which have been causing me much frustration and anxiety as of late

=

3 part: I feel fat, ugly, underappreciated and yet lukewarm about my career choices

Result: I'm jonesin' to visit Turkey....heh?...I don't know either.

Update: Spot of sunshine & goodness on the day, my friend V. <3

Gaming, Drinks and Bread

Add to Memories Tell a Friend

Weekend: was entirely productive and fantasy filled...got my house cleaned, did most of my laundry, hung out with the fam and friends, and had two separate gaming sessions with two separate groups on Sunday, my non-stop RPG extravaganza...one of my characters was even stupid enough to step through an unidentified teleportation circle, yet lucky enough to find her way back without dying...*happy sigh*

Drinks: had drinks this evening with a boy...oh no, it's true...had a nice time, no sparks or writhing on the floor in heat, sweat and passion, but nonetheless a good time. Pretty cute and he's younger than me...Oooooo. *head shake*

Bread: So! 10 days ago I was given a starter for something called Amish Friendship Bread, a sweet and fluffy concoction, very similar to coffee cake. Every 10 days the starter reaches its peak fermentation, ingredients are added, starter is divided up, bread is baked and starter is passed on. Kinda cool, no? Now, my slightly jaded take, this was the original chain letter via a recipe. You have this lovely, sweet message "Friendship Bread" and end up pawning it off on friends and family in hopes you will have luck and money for whole year...no not really, but if you're in the same area as me and know me personally...watch out, you could be next! *evil smirk*

Ooo busy evening, just chatted with another boy who promises drinks will be in my future. For me, this is rare...things are lookin' up!
